Terms and Conditions
Terms of ordering, payment, delivery, cancellation, and returns
These Terms govern the procedure for placing, confirming, paying for, producing, delivering, modifying, cancelling, and refunding orders placed with Yerevan Cakes through yerevancakes.am, messaging applications, social media, email, or other communication channels.
By placing an order, the customer confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms.
For questions related to placing or fulfilling an order, the customer may contact Yerevan Cakes using the contact details published on yerevancakes.am or by email at yerevancakes@gmail.com.
1. Placing an Order
An order may be placed:
• through the catalogue and checkout page on yerevancakes.am;
• through an order form or special questionnaire on the website;
• through WhatsApp, Telegram, or other messaging applications;
• through social media;
• by another method agreed with Yerevan Cakes.
When placing an order, the customer must provide accurate and complete information necessary for its fulfilment, including:
• name and phone number;
• the date and time for receiving the order;
• the collection method — delivery or pickup;
• the delivery address, if delivery is selected;
• recipient details, if the order is intended for another person;
• the selected product, filling, weight, number of servings, or size;
• preferences regarding design, colours, inscriptions, and decoration;
• photographs, reference images, and other materials required for the production of a custom order;
• information about allergies and dietary restrictions, if any.
Submitting a form on the website or sending a message through a messaging application does not itself mean that the order has been automatically accepted.
An order is considered accepted after confirmation by Yerevan Cakes and payment of the required deposit or full amount by the customer.
Yerevan Cakes has the right to refuse an order if there is no availability for the selected date, the necessary ingredients or materials are unavailable, the order cannot be technically fulfilled, or the customer’s requirements conflict with applicable law or generally accepted standards.
2. Order Confirmation
Before confirming the order, the parties agree on the main terms, including:
• the type and composition of the product;
• the filling;
• the weight, size, or number of servings;
• the design and decorative elements;
• the inscriptions;
• the date and approximate time of completion;
• the collection method;
• the order price;
• the amount of the deposit;
• additional services and products.
Before confirming the order, the customer must verify the accuracy of all agreed information, including names, inscriptions, dates, ages, numbers, colours, delivery address, and contact phone number.
Yerevan Cakes is not responsible for errors in information provided and confirmed by the customer if the order was fulfilled in accordance with that information.
3. Order Price
Product prices are stated in Armenian drams.
The price of standard products is displayed on the website or communicated to the customer before the order is confirmed.
The price of a custom order depends on:
• the weight and size of the product;
• the selected filling;
• the complexity of the design;
• the number and complexity of decorative elements;
• the use of fondant, chocolate, edible printing, figurines, flowers, berries, toppers, and other materials;
• the urgency of production;
• additional products and services.
The price agreed and confirmed when the order is placed will not be changed without agreement with the customer.
If, after confirmation, the customer requests changes to the weight, composition, design, date, quantity, or other characteristics, the price may be recalculated.
Prices on the website may be updated. A price change after an order has been placed does not apply to an order that has already been confirmed and paid for, provided that its terms have not been changed at the customer’s request.
4. Payment
Custom cakes and desserts made to an individual design usually require a deposit of 50% of the total order price.
The remaining balance must be paid before collection, upon collection, or by another deadline agreed in advance with Yerevan Cakes.
Ready-made products and orders placed through the website catalogue may require full prepayment of 100%.
If an order is placed for another recipient, Yerevan Cakes may require full payment before production or handover of the order.
Payment may be made using the methods available at the time the order is placed, including:
• bank card;
• payment link;
• bank transfer;
• Idram;
• Telcell Wallet;
• other methods displayed on the website or agreed with the customer.
The order is not considered finally confirmed until the required deposit has been received, unless otherwise agreed by the parties.
If the customer does not make payment within the agreed period, Yerevan Cakes has the right to release the reserved date and refuse to fulfil the order.
5. Production Time
The standard production time for a custom order is usually 2 to 3 days.
Complex orders, tiered cakes, handmade figurines, large amounts of decoration, flowers, edible printing, or special ingredients may require additional time.
It is recommended that complex and large orders be placed in advance.
Bento cakes, chocolate-covered strawberries, simple cakes, and certain desserts may be prepared on the same day if production capacity, the necessary ingredients, and availability permit.
An order that must be completed in less than 12 hours is considered a rush order.
A rush order is accepted only where production capacity allows and may be subject to an additional charge of 20% of the order price.
The exact production time and the possibility of urgent fulfilment are confirmed individually by Yerevan Cakes.
6. Changes to an Order
Changes to the design, filling, weight, quantity, inscriptions, date, time, or collection method should preferably be agreed no later than 48 hours before the scheduled collection time.
Changes requested less than 48 hours in advance are accepted only where technically and operationally possible.
If a change requires additional ingredients, materials, decoration, or working time, the order price may be increased.
Once production of individual elements has begun, including figurines, toppers, edible printing, chocolate decoration, flowers, and other custom details, changing or cancelling them may no longer be possible.
Yerevan Cakes has the right to refuse changes to an already confirmed order if they cannot be made without reducing quality, violating production requirements, or delaying completion.
7. Custom Design Features
Yerevan Cakes cakes and desserts are handmade. The finished product may differ slightly from a photograph or reference image in shade, placement of individual elements, shape of handmade decoration, and other minor details.
Such differences may result from:
• handmade production;
• the characteristics of available ingredients and materials;
• screen colour reproduction;
• the size and proportions of the product;
• the need to ensure the stability and safety of the structure;
• the seasonal availability of flowers, berries, and other natural elements.
Yerevan Cakes will nevertheless preserve the agreed theme, colour palette, and main design elements.
An exact copy of another confectioner’s work is not guaranteed. A photograph or reference image is used as inspiration and a general design direction.
If a particular decorative element or material becomes unavailable, a possible replacement will be agreed with the customer.
8. Photographs, Inscriptions, and Customer Materials
The customer is responsible for the accuracy of all texts, names, dates, numbers, images, and other materials provided.
If the customer provides photographs, logos, characters, images, or other materials, the customer confirms that they have the right to use and provide those materials for the fulfilment of the order.
Yerevan Cakes uses the provided materials only to coordinate and fulfil the order, unless the customer has separately authorised their publication.
Yerevan Cakes has the right to refuse to use materials whose content violates applicable law, the rights of other persons, or generally accepted standards.
9. Allergies and Individual Restrictions
Before confirming an order, the customer must inform Yerevan Cakes of any known food allergies, ingredient intolerances, or other dietary restrictions.
Products may contain or be prepared in premises where the following ingredients are used:
• milk and dairy products;
• eggs;
• wheat and gluten;
• nuts;
• peanuts;
• soy;
• honey;
• berries, fruit, and other potential allergens.
Even where reasonable precautions are taken, accidental cross-contact with traces of allergens cannot be completely excluded.
If the customer does not disclose an allergy or dietary restriction before the order is confirmed, Yerevan Cakes cannot guarantee the absence of the relevant ingredient or traces of it.
10. Delivery
Delivery within Yerevan is carried out on the agreed date and at the agreed time.
The delivery fee, where applicable, is displayed on the checkout page or agreed with the customer in advance.
For delivery to other cities, Yandex Delivery, another courier service, or another individually agreed method may be used.
The customer must provide:
• the exact address;
• a correct phone number;
• the recipient’s name;
• any information required to access the building, entrance, or premises;
• the preferred delivery time.
The customer or recipient must be available at the specified address and phone number at the agreed time.
If delivery cannot be completed due to an incorrect address, the recipient’s absence, inability to contact the recipient, or lack of access to the delivery location, redelivery may be charged separately.
Yerevan Cakes takes reasonable measures to comply with the agreed delivery time. However, traffic conditions, weather, actions of courier services, road restrictions, and other circumstances beyond the control of Yerevan Cakes may affect delivery time.
In the event of a significant delay, Yerevan Cakes will notify the customer where reasonably possible.
11. Pickup
Pickup is available from an agreed location in Yerevan.
Available pickup hours are daily from 10:00 to 00:00, unless another time has been agreed separately.
The customer must collect the order at the agreed time.
When the order is handed over to the customer or a person designated by the customer, it is recommended to check:
• the appearance;
• compliance with the agreed design;
• the inscriptions;
• the quantity of products;
• the absence of visible damage.
After the order has been handed over, the customer is responsible for its proper transportation, storage, and use.
12. Transportation and Storage After Collection
After collection, cakes and desserts must be transported on a flat, stable surface in a cooled vehicle.
It is not recommended to transport a cake:
• on a car seat;
• on a person’s lap;
• in a tilted position;
• in a hot vehicle;
• near heating appliances;
• in an uncooled boot during hot weather.
Before serving, products must be stored in a refrigerator at a temperature between +2°C and +6°C, unless different conditions are specified for a particular product.
The customer is responsible for damage or deterioration occurring after collection as a result of improper transportation, storage, exposure to high temperatures, moisture, sunlight, or mechanical impact.
13. Cancellation by the Customer
The customer may cancel an order by contacting Yerevan Cakes using the contact details displayed on the website.
If an order is cancelled within 24 hours after confirmation, the amount paid will be refunded in full, provided that urgent production or the creation of custom elements has not already begun with the customer’s agreement.
If more than 24 hours have passed since confirmation, or if any of the following work has already begun:
• preparation of the products;
• production of figurines;
• preparation of toppers;
• production of edible printing;
• creation of chocolate or fondant decoration;
• purchase of special ingredients, flowers, or materials;
• other work carried out specifically for that order,
the actual expenses incurred and the value of work already completed may be deducted from the refundable amount.
If the order has been fully completed or the collection time has already arrived, the payment may be non-refundable, except in cases of defective quality or other grounds provided by law.
For rush orders, production may begin immediately after confirmation and payment. The possibility of a refund in the event of cancellation will be determined based on the work already completed and the expenses already incurred.
Refunds are made using the same payment method as the original payment or another agreed method. The time required for funds to be credited may depend on the relevant bank or payment service provider.
14. Cancellation or Changes by Yerevan Cakes
In exceptional circumstances, Yerevan Cakes may propose changing the date, time, individual design elements, or cancelling the order if fulfilment becomes impossible due to:
• sudden illness of the person fulfilling the order;
• an accident or interruption of electricity, water, or equipment operation;
• the unavailability of a critically necessary ingredient or material;
• an emergency;
• other circumstances that could not reasonably have been foreseen or prevented.
If Yerevan Cakes fully cancels the order and cannot offer the customer a suitable alternative, the amount paid for the unfulfilled part of the order will be refunded.
Any significant changes will be agreed with the customer in advance.
15. Quality Complaints
Upon receiving the order, the customer is advised to immediately check its appearance, completeness, and compliance with the agreed terms.
If the customer discovers a defect, damage, an error in the contents, or a discrepancy with the confirmed order, the customer should contact Yerevan Cakes as soon as possible.
For perishable products, it is recommended that the issue be reported within 24 hours after receipt and that the following be provided:
• the order number or order details;
• a description of the issue;
• photographs or video of the products;
• a photograph of the packaging;
• information about storage conditions;
• where necessary, the remaining portion of the product for assessment.
Depending on the nature of the confirmed defect, Yerevan Cakes may offer:
• replacement of the product;
• correction or restoration of a decorative element, where possible;
• a partial refund;
• a full refund of the price of the defective product;
• another solution agreed with the customer.
A subjective opinion regarding taste, sweetness, richness, texture, or the combination of ingredients does not itself establish defective quality if the product is fresh, safe, and corresponds to the agreed filling and description.
Minor differences in shade, placement of handmade decoration, or other details compared with a reference photograph are not considered defects if the agreed theme, colour palette, and main design elements have been preserved.
Yerevan Cakes has the right to request additional information necessary for an objective review of the complaint.
16. Returns of Products of Proper Quality
Cakes, desserts, and other food products are perishable goods.
Custom cakes, inscriptions, edible prints, figurines, toppers, and other products are created specifically according to the individual requirements of a particular customer.
Once produced and handed over, such products cannot be returned solely because the customer has changed their mind, provided that they conform to the confirmed order and are of proper quality.
This provision does not limit the customer’s rights in the event of a confirmed defect, non-compliance with the order, or another ground provided by applicable law.
17. Additional Products and Services
Together with an order, the customer may purchase flowers, balloons, candles, cake fountains, toppers, greeting cards, and other additional products.
The quantity, colour, size, price, and availability of additional products are agreed when the order is placed.
Fresh flowers and arrangements may differ slightly from photographs due to seasonality and the availability of particular varieties.
Where a replacement is necessary, Yerevan Cakes will seek to preserve the agreed colour palette, style, and approximate value of the arrangement.
18. Responsibilities of the Parties
Yerevan Cakes is responsible for fulfilling a confirmed order in accordance with the agreed specifications and applicable legal requirements.
The customer is responsible for:
• the accuracy of the information provided;
• the accuracy of agreed inscriptions and images;
• timely payment;
• the recipient’s availability at the time of delivery;
• timely pickup;
• disclosure of allergies and dietary restrictions;
• compliance with transportation and storage conditions after receiving the order;
• the lawful use of images and materials provided.
Yerevan Cakes is not responsible for damage to or deterioration of products after they have been handed over to the customer if such damage or deterioration results from improper transportation, storage, handling, or failure to follow the recommendations provided.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any customer rights that cannot be excluded or limited under the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.
19. Personal Data
When an order is placed, Yerevan Cakes processes the customer’s personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy published on yerevancakes.am.
By placing an order and independently selecting the checkbox “I accept the Privacy Policy,” the customer confirms that they have read the Privacy Policy and consent to the processing of personal data for the purpose of placing and fulfilling the order.
20. Changes to These Terms
Yerevan Cakes may periodically update these Terms, including in the event of changes to applicable law, product range, payment procedures, delivery conditions, or website operations.
The current version is published on yerevancakes.am and applies to orders placed after its publication.
An order is governed by the version of the Terms that was in effect at the time the order was confirmed, unless otherwise separately agreed by the parties.
